Skegness success for local bowlers
The final was close early on but they eventually ran out winners by seven shots.
They received £250 each and a much coveted Jolly Fisherman figurine apiece.

Hide AdThe runners-up were skipped by Kirkby bowler Denis Baxter and contained former Mansfield resident Ken Bradley. Their third player was Northern Ireland’s Ron McKitterick. They received £125 each and a trophy each.
The Skegness Over 55 Bowls Tournament welcomes players from across the country.
The competition is broken down into the following categories: open singles, open pairs and open rinks of three.
The matches are played on the North and South greens along the Skegness foreshore.
The tournament has over £4,000 in prize money and the Jolly Fisherman figurines.
