A Bulgarian man who was stopped by police on suspicion of drink driving was found to have no insurance or license.

Plamen Asenov, 23, of Victoria Street, Mansfield, was stopped on Toothill Lane in the town at 3.30am on August 10, 2015, by officers who believed he was drunk because of the manner of his driving.

He passed the breath test but officers discovered he had no license or valid insurance.

He was fined £440 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and £85 costs.

Magistrates put six points on his license.
