“Times are very hard with the tough economy with changes to benefits, the bedroom tax, people losing jobs and the increasing fuel costs.
“All this has an effect on people from across the spectrum with all generations being hit.”
To access the food bank, clients have to be referred through various agencies including the police, social services and Framework.

“People like to give to us as they know they are helping local people and those most in need,” added Ed. “Our clients are very grateful for these parcels and it is a great gift to give that goes a long way.”
Only non-perishable items are required like tins, jars, bottles and dried food like rice and pasta. And upto Christmas new toys are also being collected to give to children in need.
To donate drop your items at Under One Roof, Vine Terrace, Hucknall.
