Hide AdThe plans, which have been submitted by Arthur Sugg, state that the access to the housing estate would be from one road, rather than the two that currently exist.
The application states that A Wass’ tenancy on its current home expires in June 2014 and is not intended to be renewed, with the business already looking for alternative premises.
The building is said to be in a poor state of repair and will be demolished to improve the street scene and make better use of the land.
Other dilapidated buildings on the site will also be pulled down.

Coun Jim Aspinall, who is a ward councillor for the area, said: “We are aware of this application which is being processed.
“If any residents or anyone has any concerns, I am more than happy to meet them and discuss these.”
