Celebration ends badly for drink driver
Mansfield magistrates were told how Mathew Pemberton (33), of Boarhill Grove, had been hosting a party at his house when he drove to a local shop for more alcohol.
Robert Carr, prosecuting, said Pemberton had consumed five-six pints of lager at the party celebrating his daughter’s school prom.

Hide AdMark Stocks, defending, said Pemberton was already serving a suspended prison sentence when the offence was committed. A legal advisor said any decision about the sentence’s activation would have to be made at Nottingham Crown Court.
He was bailed to attend there on 10th September.
