TWO people from Hucknall have appeared in court on a charge involving the kidnap of their own three-year-old son from a swimming-pool complex.
They are Amy Bird (21) and Charles Williamson (26), both formerly of Goodall Crescent.
The boy, Lewis Williamson, went missing. But he was found safe and well in Skegness on Sunday after a phone-call from a member of the public alerted Lincolnshire police to his whereabouts.
Lewis was found at the Summertime Amusement Aracade, on the Grand Parade, and has now been returned to the care of social services.
Bird and Williamson were arrested at the scene and appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with removing a child from the care of social services.
The case has been adjourned until Wednesday September 3.
Lewis had been missing since he was abducted from the Water Meadows swimming complex on Baths Lane, Mansfield on Thursday July 31.
